I watched Amethyst play Half-Life 2 on Saturday. I've played the game multiple times and have wanted her to experience it. Since I got The Orange Box for the Xbox 360, it was easier for her to play it there then to install the game on her laptop. It seems our cat, Mac, wanted to give her a hand.

While I was at work, Amethyst and her mother installed the racks and shelves we bought at Ikea awhile back. This is our improved kitchen. It may still be a hallway, but it now has a lot more space.

Amethyst is cleaning up her artroom. Ever since we put a futon in there, it has become less useful. She is tearing the room apart and is putting it back together. It is turning out very nice. These books were stacked in the hallway so they would out of the way of the rearrangment.

I've been playing my PSP a lot lately. Mostly Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror, which I finished yesterday. My screen is cracked and ever since then, this is how I travel with it. It would be nice to have my good, clean screen back.

I love my job. No, really... I do. I enjoy what I do. Sometimes, though, there are tasks that fall on the tedious and boring side. On Wednesday, I took a spreadsheet that a computer program spit out and had to edit it so that it could be properly feed into another computer program. In some ways it made me feel like this cylon... but without the murderous intent against mankind.

Well, not ALL the murderous intent against mankind.

Yesterday was the first day I ever tasted horehound (that I remember anyways). Amethyst described it as "cinnamon without the bite." It was hard for me to imagine, but after enjoying one... that is exactly what it tastes like.

I had a coupon from my birthday for a free burrito at Qdoba. Amethyst and I went to cash in the coupon, but Amethyst has been calorie counting. The run-of-the-mill burrito is roughly 1200 calories. This "naked" burrito, sans rice, was only 520 calories. Amethyst said it was delicious.

I played a lot of Grand Theft Auto: The Lost and Damned on Sunday. I'm loving the game. Any reason to cruise the streets of Liberty City is a good thing.
